Comments

This is a PC I put together from various parts gathered over the years. This system acts like the big brother for the other systems, it provides them with their main link to the outside world and helps to keep them up-to-date on events with their cousins. It currently makes use of the case and power supply from my Honeywell Bull SP-V20 system. I have a copy of Nextstep 486 but I don't have the space to load it right now, guess I need another harddrive.

Update

I picked up a free ISA ethernet board for this system so I bought a cheap hub and now have it networked with my Homemade Pentium and Winbook laptop.

Update

Well, after gutting this system for use in the Gateway 486, someone gave me some old harddrives so I set this up as a Linux server on my network. It has been happily humming away and serving files since.

Update

Added a printer so now not only is this a file server for my PCs and Macs but it is now a printer server. Everyone in the family is set up so their files and print jobs are all served from here no matter which system they work on. And all for cheap on what was cast off hardware. Linux is great!

Update

Pulled everything from this system and placed it in a Pentium 100 based system I received. After I get a new case, I'll restore this system and use it to run old DOS software most likely.
